Blog Post #2

This article is from the perspective of a mythical creature, a cyclops. The article is written to help readers understand how to make a profile for online dating, going as fas as using a cyclops as a reference that anyone can make a convincing profile. His responses to answering each question is certainly specific, and the questions (aside from being from perspective of a cyclops) is similar to what any person would write.

Reading the title and the introduction I was certainly not expecting a Cyclops to answer the questions, but it seems that it was done to bring humor. Aside from the responses being out of the norm from what a human would write, it did answer the question and enlightened the reader on what to write on profiles for dating websites.

The article was more engaging than expected. Normally when coming across an article such as this I would quickly skim and barley look at the purpose or lesson that the article would implicate. In this case the article trying to show best way to intrigue someone to pick your profile. The Cyclops in a sense intrigued me and allowed me to read further out of curiosity.

The format of the article made it easy to follow, and did accentuate the topic. It was typical from what any person would come across in any magazine. When reading this article it reminded me of the magazines my sister would buy with the typical questioners, and advice on how to achieve specific looks or even advice on how to get a boyfriend and ect. This article brings back early 2000 memories.

As for the cyclops being able to trap someone in his cave, he will probably be able to get someone that is interested in his profile. His honesty and straight to the point personality is something that a lot of women like when looking for men.
